Icarus is a concept project comprising a series of promotional posters and an accompanying catalogue inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun.
The project reimagines this ancient myth as a contemporary performance piece, translating its narrative into a modern visual context.
Vibrant colour and abstract forms are used throughout to evoke feelings of joy and elation, contrasted with black and white imagery that conveys the despair and hopelessness Icarus experiences as he falls toward the sea.
